HELP & ADVICE: NHS & VAT OPTIONS
 We are an NHS contracted supplier within the UK. This means that we can accept prescriptions provided that they are made out in the name of Carpenters.
Please speak with your local hospital if you have any queries regarding their policy on prescriptions as many NHS trusts have their own contracted local wig suppliers who will be able to provide you with a full supply and fit service, as we do for our NHS clients.
NHS prescriptions are only redeemable in person and cannot unfortunately be used for payment against internet or mail orders. As mentioned previously your local NHS provider will be able to give you definitive information on this subject, including information on the cost and redeemable value of your prescription and where you are able to take it to obtain your wig. Please contact us if we can provide any further information on NHS prescriptions.
VAT Exempt
VAT exemption is available to clients who wear wigs for necessity reasons. Customers who require wigs due to alopecia, hair loss as a result of chemotherapy treatment or any other medical condition that causes hair loss, and is confirmed by a GP, are classed as necessity wearers. If any of the above applies to you, you are entitled to receive the VAT off the cost of your wig at the time of purchase. Please note: VAT exemption applies to wigs only and does not apply to accessories.
